What is Reply CMP?#

Reply CMP is a SaaS multi-cloud management platform built by Cluster Reply. It covers the full cloud infrastructure lifecycle: discover what exists, provision new resources, automate governance, control costs with FinOps, and monitor operational health — across Azure, AWS, and GCP — in a single platform.

AI is built in throughout, not bolted on. And because Reply CMP connects via service principals to your existing accounts, there is no lock-in and no changes to your cloud configuration are required.

The five modules at a glance#

Module

What it does

When you use it

Discovery

Scans all cloud accounts and builds a live CMDB

When you want to see what exists, track changes, or investigate configuration drift

FinOps

Cost visibility, allocation, budgets, forecasting, optimisation, dashboards

Daily/weekly cost governance; budget tracking; optimisation projects

Provisioning

Self-service resource creation from a typed catalog backed by Terraform

When teams need to deploy new infrastructure without direct cloud console access

Automation

Scheduled policies that start/stop resources and enforce tags

To automate Dev/Test shutdown and maintain tagging standards automatically

Monitoring

Grafana-embedded performance dashboards per provider

When you need real-time infrastructure metrics alongside cost and inventory data

The AI layer#

Note

All AI features use Azure OpenAI and run within your tenant boundary. No cloud data is sent to third-party AI providers.

Reply CMP includes several AI capabilities, each embedded in context where you need it most:

  1. CMP Agent — Ask questions about your cloud data in natural language; generate formatted cost reports on demand.

  2. AI Savings Estimation — Each cost optimisation recommendation includes an AI-computed, confidence-rated monthly savings estimate.

  3. AI-Powered Reports — Design scheduled cloud cost reports through a conversation with the AI; it builds a live HTML preview as you iterate, then delivers the report on a recurring schedule with fresh data on every send.

  4. 30-Day Cost Forecasting — The forecasting engine automatically adapts to each resource’s spending pattern and keeps predictions accurate as costs evolve — no manual configuration required.

  5. AI Plan Summaries — After a Terraform dry-run or apply, the AI explains what changed in plain language.

  6. AI Rollback Suggestions — In Discovery change history, the AI generates CLI or Terraform examples to revert configuration drifts.

See AI in Reply CMP for full details on how these features work.
