Attention
Reply CMP v1.0.0 is now available v1.0.0 marks a major milestone in the platform’s evolution — consolidating the improvements and customer feedback gathered across the entire v0.x series. This release brings the biggest leap forward in AI and machine learning capabilities to date, alongside a series of quality-of-life refinements across every module.
What’s Changed#
v1.0.0 is a landmark release. The cost forecasting engine has been rebuilt to deliver significantly better predictions, AI-powered reports have been redesigned around a stable template model for more consistent delivery, and the FinOps experience becomes sharper with improved data freshness visibility and a more responsive cost analysis view.
🚀 New Features#
Smarter Cost Forecasting#
The forecasting engine powering the 30-day cost predictions has been completely rebuilt. The new system automatically learns each resource’s spending behaviour — whether costs are flat, growing, seasonal, or prone to sudden shifts — and continuously adapts its predictions accordingly. Accuracy is significantly improved across the board, with the most notable gains for Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, and Committed Use Discounts.
Forecasts adapt in real time as spending patterns evolve, with no manual intervention required
Resources that change behaviour after a resize, migration, or commitment purchase update their forecast within days
The forecast view in the Analyze chart now shows the full predicted date range, making it easier to spot projected overruns at a glance
AI-Powered Reports — Redesigned Content Model#
The AI report design session has been redesigned around a reusable HTML template model. When you design a report, the session now produces a stable template with data placeholders that is saved alongside the schedule. On each delivery run, the template is populated with fresh data — keeping the report layout and structure consistent across all sends. Previously, content was regenerated from a stored prompt on every send, which could produce inconsistent results.
Stable layout across deliveries: the visual structure you designed is preserved exactly on every send
Redesign anytime: the Redesign action re-opens the design session with the saved template pre-loaded, so you can refine the layout without starting from scratch
Flexible scheduling: daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly presets, or a custom schedule down to once per day
Auto-detected language: reports triggered through CMP Agent are written in the language of the original query
Connection Data Freshness#
Each connection card now shows when data was last updated, so teams can immediately spot stale connections without digging through logs:
When the last resource discovery scan completed
When cost data was last refreshed
How recent the reservation data is (for connections with Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, or CUDs)
🔧 Improvements#
Notifications: notifications can now be dismissed one at a time or all at once with a single action
Analyze chart: the forecast section now renders with full date context, making it easier to read projected costs alongside actuals
Discovery events: each event now carries the identifier of the discovered resource, making it easier to link audit entries to specific inventory items
Connection details: reservation data freshness is now tracked and displayed separately from cost prediction freshness
🐛 Bug Fixes#
Fixed bulk notification dismissal not working correctly in all cases
Fixed individual notification dismissal occasionally failing silently
Fixed the cost analysis view including response fields that had no functional effect
Fixed AI report creation failing when no manual content instructions were provided
